Tending to Your Authentic Self

We are emerging from a culture that has pushed down and bottled up it's most painful emotions. Still today we can often feel like we need to deal with our deepest despair all on our own. This is especially true for those of us who have been conditioned by masculine ideas of stoicism and steel.
However, increasingly we are able to grasp the vitality of our interconnectedness and interdependance. That entering into the healing potential of a genuine and compassionate relationship is an invaluable and transformative action for our psychological wellbeing.
Therapy is a radical step that is open to you. To share, overcome or let go of the burdens of your life.
Our suffering can feel rooted in external circumstances or in inner wounds and conflicts. It may arise from present-day challenges, such as relationship breakdowns, life transitions, loss, grief, overwhelm, or burnout, or from long-standing patterns shaped by past experiences that continue to weigh us down and limit our capacity for joy and fulfilment.
Whatever you bring into the therapeutic space, I offer a warm, creative, and non-judgmental relationship. Together, we’ll work thoughtfully and collaboratively with the difficulties you’re facing, supporting a growing sense of empowerment and a greater ability to meet life’s challenges with clarity and resilience.

Coming to counselling from a background in music, I bring a strong appreciation for how creative expression can help us uncover what feels most true. As your therapist, I’ll support you in reconnecting with your creativity, intuition, and inner strength. Together, we’ll gently explore what may be holding you back and work toward a way of living that feels more honest, confident, and fully your own.
While I work with adults of all ages, I’m particularly drawn to supporting late adolescents (roughly ages 18–25+) as they navigate the often complex transition into adulthood. This stage of life can be rich with new experiences and possibilities, while also bringing significant challenges and deep shifts in identity and sense of self. I offer steady support to individuals as they move through this formative and sometimes turbulent period.
I also have a strong interest in mindfulness meditation and its potential to deepen self-awareness and enrich our experience through a closer connection with the present moment. I see mindfulness as a powerful and practical tool for gently shifting entrenched patterns and habitual ways of thinking.
I have a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). My integrative training allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic techniques and tools, enabling me to create a personalised approach that best meets your unique needs.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) BACP, I am committed to providing a safe and ethical practice in line with their ethical framework and adhere to their complaint & appeals procedures.
It is important to find the right counsellor for you. The therapeutic relationship plays a crucial role in the success of therapy and so you need to feel that the therapist you choose is right for you.
With this in mind I offer a free 20-30 minute telephone or Zoom conversation to determine whether we would be a good fit to work together.
I offer both in-person sessions in Easton, Bristol, or online sessions via Zoom. The number of sessions is flexible and informed by your needs, but I usually suggest a minimum of eight. The fee for a 50 minute session is £50.
